L & J’s engagement story is truly one for the books! It all began with a surprise proposal in Zermatt by a mountain lake. Zermatt is a picturesque town nestled in the Swiss Alps. L had been meticulously planning this moment for months with the Zermatt photographer specialised in creating unforgettable memories for their future life together. He discovered an amazing mountain lake that he knew would be the perfect spot to pop the question. His goal was to find a place that was both stunning and intimate, away from the bustling crowds.

The proposal preparation

The day of the proposal was filled with excitement and anticipation. L and J spent the day exploring Zermatt, marvelling at the charming streets, quaint shops, and stunning views of the Matterhorn. As the day wore on, L suggested they take a hike up to a mountain lake he had heard about. E, completely unaware of his plans, happily agreed.

The hike was an adventure in itself. They trekked through lush alpine meadows, with the sound of distant cowbells creating a magical atmosphere. As they climbed up, the views became more and more breathtaking, with panoramic pictures of snow-capped peaks and deep valleys. L arranged for roses that L had carefully prepared for the big moment.

A Proposal in Zermatt to Remember

When they finally reached the mountain lake, it was as if they had stepped into a fairy tale. The water was reflecting the surrounding peaks and the vibrant colors of the sunset. L had chosen this time of day for a reason. He wanted the proposal to be as private and romantic as possible, and the fading light of the setting sun created the perfect ambiance.

As they stood by the lake L got down on one knee, holding the ring out to her.

A Stargazing Engagement adventure

As they made their way back to the hotel, their hearts were light, and their spirits high. Once back in their cozy mountain hut they had a lovely dinner and cozy times.. L had planned everything together with me, a Zermatt photographer to get out in the dark again in the middle of the night for stargazing and to get some epic star photos with the Milkyway reflection in the mountain lake and Matterhorn as their witness!
